FAQs

What is your fee?

My fee is $225 per 50 minute session.

Do you accept insurance?

I am considered an out of network provider with insurance, meaning I don’t contract with any insurance companies. While I do not accept insurance, if you have a PPO plan, I can provide you with a Superbill. A Superbill is an itemized receipt that includes procedural and diagnostic codes. You can submit Superbills to your PPO, and you may receive partial reimbursement for our sessions. Payment is due out of pocket at the time of each session.

Do you have a sliding scale?

There isn't a fixed sliding scale floor, but sliding scale rates are available on a case-by-case basis for clients without a PPO plan who are otherwise unable to afford the full $225 session fee. Reach out to discuss what's possible for your situation.

How do I get started / book a consultation?

A free 15-minute consultation call is offered to prospective clients to discuss what you're looking for and answer any questions before scheduling an intake session. Reach out via email at annabelle@caaptherapy.com or by phone at 949-464-7684 to schedule.

Do you work with any clients who are not moms?

Yes! In addition to my focus on maternal mental health, I treat adults of all ages and genders experiencing the full range of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and agoraphobia, health anxiety, specific phobias, as well as obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). My background in perinatal mental health also extends to fathers and non-birthing parents.

Do you treat couples and families?

While my license is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work exclusively with individual adults in my clinical practice. As an LMFT, my educational background included a focus on relational issues and family systems. This education does inform my work with clients, however, my clinical training and expertise has focused primarily on working with individuals.

What ages do you work with?

I work with clients ages 18 and up.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
